Camptoo is a peer-to-peer sharing platform for campervans that was started in the Netherlands in 2014 and can simply be described as an Airbnb for campers, camper vans and caravans.
Since the launch 2014 Camptoo has expanded significantly in several European countries, and is now one of Europe's largest rental platforms.
The basic concept is that owners of campervans list their vehicles on Camptoo’s platform during periods when the owners themselves do not use the vehicle, and travelers who want to rent a motorhome or caravan can find what they are looking for on the platform. In this way, campervan owners can get an extra income from their campervan that is idle and unused for several months of year. The extra income comes in handy for the owners, since they still have to pay yearly costs for storage, insurance and maintenance of the campervan.

At the present time, Camptoo and Omocom are collectively live in three markets: Finland, Poland and Denmark. The insurance solution with Omocom fits perfectly in the Camptoo offer, as the last missing piece of a puzzle. It was a real challenge for Camptoo to find a flexible and scalable insurance provider to work with across the many markets that they are currently, and planning to be, live in.
